Banana Bread

Ingredients

cup
butter or margarine
1⅓
cups
packed brown sugar
3
eggs
2
tsp
vanilla
¼
tsp
almond extract
1
tsp
grated orange rind
4
cups
flour (1/2 whole wheat, 1/2 unbleached white)

tsp
salt
½
tsp
baking soda
3
tsp
baking powder
2
tsp
cinnamon
¼
tsp
nutmeg
½
cup
mashed ripe bananas
⅔
cup
black coffee
Instructions
Beat 1st 5 ingredients together
Sift together the dry ingredients
Puree bananas and coffee in a blender
Alternate adding the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients with the puree
Bake at 350° in two greased bread loaf pans for 40-50 minutes.

the secret ingredient is the coffee
